Drought Tolerance:

One of Enduro's greatest qualities is its drought resistance. It has a deep and dense root system. (2 ½ ft. to 4 ft. is common). Because of this deep extensive root system there is more area to draw water from, in turn needing less water applied.

Color:

Enduro Dwarf Tall Fescue maintains a deep rich green color throughout the year when properly cared for.

Disease:

Enduro Dwarf Tall Fescue is highly resistant to most common diseases such as leaf spot, rust and fusarium. Has a good tolerance for summer heat and winter cold.

Maintenance:

A good complete fertilizer is required twice a year in the spring and fall. All other fertilizer applications may be made with straight Nitrogen. During the spring, winter and fall months you should be fertilizing every 4 to 6 weeks with ½ to 1 pound of actual Nitrogen applied per 1000 square feet. Do not fertilize during the hot summer months.

Enduro Dwarf Tall Fescue should be mowed regularly with a rotary mower. Set mowing height to cut at 2" Never mow more than one-third of the top growth at any one mowing.

Watering:

Newly planted sod should be watered daily for the first 10 days to avoid drying out and to enable the rooting system to penetrate into the new soil. Once sod has been established, watering frequency may be reduced. Do to varying soil and climate conditions, it is difficult to recommend a watering schedule. Soaking the lawn 2 to 3 times a week generally is adequate in most summer weather situations. Water in early morning hours only.
